Thank you so much for writing this post!! I’ve moved to the UK for 6 years by now and I always reminisce my time in Hong Kong. I was born and raised in Hong Kong until I was 15🇭🇰
This city means a lot to me, though my moving pace has probably slowed down due to my time in England😂😂 I started to have this identity crisis or inability to fit in, as if I am too slow for Hong Kong and too fast for England.
But yeah, seeing these photos and reading about your stories brings back my own memories too!! 💕💕
The Hong Kong pace is wild compared to England 😂 I lived in Hong Kong for two years during my twenties, and it totally changed me as a person. And I'm lucky enough to have visited nearly every year since I was a baby! My Mum is from Hong Kong ❤️
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful time - you write about Hong Kong with so much love, I can feel it radiating from my screen ❤️
Thank you so much!! It's my favourite place in the world. Working on a little something else at the moment too – I feel like Hong Kong fuels so much of my writing inspiration.
Ah it sounds so lovely, it's made me want to visit! I'm reading 'The Homecoming' at the moment which reflects, in part, on the same feeling of having two places that feel like home.
I'm enjoying it more than I anticipated! I'd had a bit of a book gap and it's got me reading again. As a bunch of it is set in December I feel like I picked it up at a good time, too.
I’ve never been to Hong Kong, yet your words transported me there so vividly. It felt nostalgic in a way I didn’t expect. Such a beautiful piece.
Such beautiful writing Michelle, the visuals conjured up from your writing felt so homely and warm. I hope to visit one day ♥️
Thank you so much Allie!

You're so lucky to have two homes you love so much. I've never been to Hong Kong, but you make it sound wonderful – I feel like I'm missing out!
I truly am SO lucky! It's such a special place, you should absolutely visit someday.

Thank you so much El! Yes, I've got that on my list to read for that exact reason. How're you finding the book?
