The whisper of the early leaf-fall. Hazy mornings, mist hovering just-so before your eyes. Sleepy, dusty light drifting through the curtains. Evenings drawing tighter, darker, closer. A brisk chill, knitted through your bones as you weather the will-it-won’t-it rainfall. The soft pitter-patter of raindrops against windowpanes, but only for a moment. The comforting, dependable swill in your mug, a storm in a (hot chocolate)-cup. A pinch-pull as you wiggle your coat out from the wardrobe. Handfuls of deep purple blackberries, plucked off hedgerows heavy with fruit. Jumper sleeves, falling longer than your hands: perfect. The promise of a new season to fill with memories and paint with plans.
Last week I recorded the first ever episode of my upcoming podcast and although the episode was about life updates, in the end, I was literally rambling about my fascination with autumn. And it’s ridiculous to some extend bc the autumn I love isn’t available where I live. Thanks for sharing all these beautiful autumn captures - these photos will satiate my need!
