Homegoing

The comings and goings of home.

Every time I return to our little house, I feel my shoulders drop by a few centimetres and my neck relaxing – a physical indication that my nervous system is resetting and that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. ‘Home’ is something that I ponder often. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, home is ‘the place where a person or animal dwells’. That’s obvious enough. But, home can also be a feeling or a moment.
