I’m midway through Before Coffee Gets Old and I’m not going to lie - I found it tough to keep my concentration through the first few pages. But tbh the quintessential theme kind of kept me motivated and rn, I’m pacing through the pages. Such an interesting read! Thanks for suggesting some more, I plan on adding them to my reading list :)
Love this! I fully relate because I too am a wimp and don't like full scale horror, or even mild horror honestly, or anything remotely gory... but I do like atmospheric: misty forests, creaking mansions, ancient legends, dark magic. This is my October vibe :)
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is too good not to make the round up really. It's stunning and haunting and magical all around.

Thank you!
Honestly, I am such a wimp. There is no need for gore! I like an atmospheric, spooky overall vibe though.
I picked up Before The Coffee Gets Cold recently and I'm so excited to get started on it!
Can't wait to hear what you think of it!
A very proud moment to be Dutch! I’ve yet to read The Safekeep but your review makes it sound like a wholesome kind of lingering
Indeed!! It’s a great book – a perfect ‘balmy summer nights’ read that stays with you for the characters and the deep intimacy.
Perfect for spooky season! 🎃
