It's been lovely to have lots of sunshine recently! It's a shame that you couldn't be outside much, but I hope you're feeling much better now. ❤️

Oh Michelle, you had me when you said you struggled to focus on reading - there is nothing worse than just not being able to do anything 😭 I hope you manage to get some time in the sunshine and fresh air today and you're back to 100% soon!

A small joy this week was last night; Aidan's away for the weekend so I did everything I wanted at my pace. I lit a candle (Fiction, ofc!), watched Interior Design Masters, cooked my favourite meal, and just did as I pleased!

The inability to read was devastating! I'm such a multi-tasker and was gutted not to be able to double up resting and reading hahaha. I suppose my body knew it needed a LOT of rest though.

Oh god that is the dream evening, isn't it?! Girl dinner, silly lil TV and good candles are such a vibe. I'm currently waiting for our roast to cook, and have our Sundaze Soy Candle lit with some YouTube vlogs in the background. Bliss.

I had the COVID/flu combo that turned into a bacterial infection and 100% know what you mean about the fog and fatigue— rough!! Glad you’re feeling better!! 🙌

I cleaned out my closet and drawers and unhauled a ton of items too and it truly feels AMAZING!

Oh poor you, so sorry you had the same thing! I'm trying to ease myself back into normalcy, as I don't want to overdo things. But I'm also SO excited for the nicer weather here!

I am so pleased you’re finally feeling better and hope so much that you’re feeling up to some fresh air and sunshine this week. Lots of luck for your interview— you’re so right about perspective, it’s powerful stuff and whilst interviews can be daunting they are a good tool for realising progress. Yes to sunlight and also yes to eeking in Spring. Although tentatively up here— it’s still close to freezing first thing!!

This week I gave our grass its first cut and it’s a really little thing that marks sort of definite Spring to me. We leave a small stripe down one side wild and I spent a good while in the autumn getting some wildflower seeds into the ground so I’m hopeful with some more spring sowing, for it to be not just dandelions, clovers and buttercups this year— as lovely as they are! Have a lovely weekend Michelle xxxx

Thanks Sally! Managed a longer dog walk this morning, so I'm definitely getting there. And, yes, even in my post-interview thoughts, I feel so proud of myself for what I've achieved. A good reminder to check in with my professional self a little more often.

Ah the first lawn-trim is a big milestone!! It's supposed to reach around 20 degrees in our corner of the globe later, so I'm very much looking forward to an alfresco lunch in the sunshine and a bonus dog walk! Enjoy the weekend when it comes ❤️
