This forced me to take a slow moment for the first time this week. My moment of joy this week was seeing a woodpecker on our bird table for the first time!! More exciting than it should have been 😂

I'm so glad that it did Ella! Life always gets so hectic in the summer, doesn't it? And that is SO exciting!! I'm desperately trying to entice a goldfinch to our garden 😂

Isn’t it funny how a surprising often-times not great *thing* thrown in our path forces us to pivot and find the good elsewhere?! I’ve never gotten into running (although walking a spaniel is border-line jogging!) and have always cycled but you might have inspired me! A lovely list as always which, I look forward to dipping into at the end of the week!xxx

Absolutely! I'm so thankful to my gratitude list practice because it's completely changed my outlook on life. I'd definitely recommend starting with Couch to 5k – it made running feel so fun, manageable and easy! It's so freeing to pop trainers on and just go!

Just reading your lists always sets me in such a good mood. Thank you for sharing your joys so consistently. I really love this weekly reminder to take a moment for reflection. My week‘s best joy was attending a book club for the first time in my life. We had some great discussions that still keep me thinking days later!

Thank you so much for reading them! It's one of my favourite offline practices, and online habits, and has really transformed my outlook on life to be honest. Oo that sounds like fun! I'm too shy to join an IRL book club... What did you read?

"Jellyfish have no ears" by Adèle Rosenfeld. It's about a young women with hearing difficulties who has to decide if she wants to get an implant to remain in the "world of the hearing" or learn sign language and join the "community of signing people". It's written in a beautiful language and at the same thought provoking.
